Five Tips for Passing Your Learners’ Driving Test

  1. Get a copy of your Road Users’ Handbook and study, study, study. You want to ensure that you know all of the rules of your local roads. When you feel confident that you know the material, go online and take the driver knowledge practice tests. Don’t worry if you don’t pass the first time. Retake it until you’re confident that you know your information.
  2. Every time you ride in the car, make sure you pay close attention to what the driver is doing and make sure that you ask any questions if you have them. Your goal is to understand how things work and why they work as they do. It’s also a good idea to carry a copy of the Road Users’ Handbook with you because this will let you easily confirm any road rules that you’re not sure about.
  3. When you go to book a test, make sure that you pick a convenient time that fits into your schedule. The last thing you want to do is try to squeeze your learners’ driving test in between a big event at your job or during your school tests. This will cause you to be tense and stressed out, and you want to be relaxed and confident when you attempt your test.
  4. It’s important that you arrive on time or even slightly early when it’s time to take your test. This will give you time to get to know your location. Also, if you’re late to the test, it can’t go on. You’ll end up rescheduling, and you don’t want to have to wait.
  5. When it comes to taking the test, take a deep breath, relax and take your time. There is no time limit for your test, so there is absolutely no reason for you to rush. Make sure you carefully read all of the questions and answers before you choose one. You’ll most likely find questions close to the questions you did on your practice round.

These five quick tips can help you relax and take your learners’ driving test. If you don’t pass, it’s not the end of the world. You’ll want to study more, practice more and then attempt your test again–and with practice, you’ll have a better chance to pass it.
